Although we may seem cold and distant, we INTJs are romanticists deep down. We too possess the desire for love. We just tend to approach love quite differently, more like a logical puzzle where all the pieces must fit in place for the perfect form of pure love. Before falling in love, let's just say that we INTJs like to carry out an experiment or two on the potential lover. We INTJs have a hard shell on the outside. Or perhaps a couple shells. Like a castle, we build a moat, strong walls, fortified barriers, and perhaps use a fog machine too while we're at it in order to halt the potential lover at the gates, as if we're daring them to cross over the bridge. It's because we are also little scientists delighting in testing the lover, the commitment and dedication to peel away the shells before we allow them to get close. At the same time, we're testing them because when we finally decide to share our inner thoughts and inner selves, we're most vulnerable. When we fall in love, it's the scariest thing for us INTJs and also the most refreshing. When we decide to welcome another soul into our castles, it's like a refreshing breath of air. Because when the lover passes our experimental tests with flying colors, we INTJs can't help but fall in love.
